Union Community Health Center

Project Summary

For over 115 years, Union Community Health Center (UCHC) has been a cornerstone of the Bronx, serving all those in need of healthcare regardless of ability to pay, insurance coverage, or immigration status. UCHC is one of the many community health center networks located in New York state, and together, these centers promote health equity and increase access to care in underserved communities statewide. Centers like UCHC are an incredible resource, but city residents lack awareness these services are available to them. The goal of this project was to create a PSA campaign that helped amplify UCHC’s mission.

This project was made possible through a partnership with F.Y. Eye, a nonprofit media agency based in New York City, and WPP, the creative transformation company and parent company of Burson.

A large portion of UCHC’s patient population is Hispanic, so running the campaign in both English and Spanish was critical.

Through compelling photography and unifying language, patients were empowered to scan a QR code that drives them to UCHC’s website to book appointments, meet doctors, and learn more about available services.

The campaign embraces color – it’s rooted in UCHC’s brand colors and expanded slightly to focus on the community, capturing the spirit and tenacity of the Bronx.
